I don't know if it would work for that printer, but for our HP OfficeJet G85xi, HP only said specific JetDirect devices would network scan on it, so it is on a JetDirect 175x (USB). That worked fine until a Windows update broke the HP scan/fax utility (disallowing certain insecure file permissions). It is an old printer so HP had no updates. But it works as a printer by simply configuring a "local" TCP port and selecting that printer model. So we cannot scan with it any more, but it does color print and color copy. |
