It connects to limewire, gnutella 1 and 2, kazaa, morpheus, bearshare and edonkey. It also handles torrents well. I can throttle uploads to whatever speed I want. The only thing to watch for is when searching you will always get a list of obvious trijans or malware. Make sure if music it is in MP3 format and check the file size.

Not really... you can limit your upload to whatever you want... it's no different than if you have limewire or winmx open... people can download from you if the program is running.

it's loaded with viruses, fake files, and rampant mis-labelled songs are a PITA.

Bit torrent is infinitely better, though initially more complicated to set up and get used to.
