I would think the green color would blend in better with surrounding landscaping (that is usually some shade of green).
I can't say that the ones I have seen would be a better match for the landscaping if they were some shade of green.

Many are on parking strips, between a street and sidewalk abutting a dark brown wooden fence. At least one is adjacent to a chain link fence enclosing a school playground.

Only a few front a yard by a house.
