 Acanac Problems

I wonder if you guys can help me instead of calling over the phone.
1) we decided to switch to acanac from bell. Payment is instant.
2) After 2 weeks, we received the package and called in to activate the service.
3) We cancelled bell internet once we received the package.
4) Acanac cant activate the service since they are getting digital noise. Explained we cancelled it and called bell to double check. Bell said the noise will end in a few days.
5) 5 days later, we called to check the acanac service again. This time they said the noise is from the bell tv box. We cancelled this one too. And ordered the dry loop at $8/month extra. Another week goes by..
6) 2 weeks later, we called Acanac again to check if there's any problem. This time, its on the bell phone line.
At this point, its reasonable to get a bit mad...no? Once
7) Acanac said we will get the service on May 1st.
8) May 1st comes, we called Acanac again. This time, the excuse is they 'forgot' to activate the line. Wait till May 7th. Funny thing is that we actually asked "If we didnt call today, no one would let us know right?"
CS Rep replies "yea, pretty much...". WTF!!!!

If you do the math, we don't have TV and internet for over 2 months. And now we are still waiting...i am not sure why.
Acanac, can you do something and work a bit harder? If you dont like the trouble, tell us, we'll go somewhere else...
We'll call again this afternoon...

... and you are still waiting? damn!!
Just cancel it, go somewhere else.

There is tons of other providers who i am sure wouldn't give you trouble like ACANAC did.

www.electronicbox.net
www.teksavvy.com

I dont remember any1 going through problems you had with ACANAC with this ISPs i listed above.

Yea, still waiting cos we got charged the full amount already for a year + a dry loop fee which we have to email another department for a refund.

Paul, can you help speeding up the process?

Deal with Acanac on this forum, seems like hes higher up and might get things done.

If you dont want to wait anymore (2 months is way to long) I suggest you look over at Teksavvy they are Highly recommended.

Yea, and now the price also comes into question.
Teksavvy - Premium
5M/800k 200G/mo. $4/mo. $29.95/mo.

This comes to $33.95 + tax = $38.36 vs $18.95 per month at acanac...

This times 12 months...saves quite a bit over a year.

I am dealing with the setup personally. I will make sure we get to the bottom of this one way or another. We do setup hundreds of orders a day so it's not like we don't know what we are doing. The problem is that the setup is Bell's responsibility and for one reason or another they are not following through.

jack9999 it's only a matter of time now. Please also be reassured that you will be compensated for your delay.

Paul

Bell has stated the order was delayed because you had digital on the line and wouldn't remove it.

I need to speak with one of the level two reps at Bell to get to the bottom of this. Do you have a digital line from Rogers?

Paul

Question why are you adding $4/month? If its for a static ip why are you adding it? Since i dont think you get one with Acanac why would you need one from Teksavvy? So if you remove the $4 its only about $32/month with No Contract

If your with Acanac you are on a Contract and if you Cancel early you are given your money back for the remaining months BUT at the price of $29.95/month NOT the $19/month (if I'm not mistaken)

But If I was in you situation I would of paid more then wait as long as you are waiting.

Hey Paul,
I thought you said you were going to take are of this personally. What happened?
First the customer service said its going to be Wednesday, then re-scheduled to Saturday. No one came, so today we called Acanac. The customer service said they check the line at bell and something got fixed. Now still no internet even its fixed.
Customer service re-booked another tech to come over on Wednesday at 7:30am.
Will it ever work? Now its about 3 months...is there a number where i can reach you?

I have no control over the Bell reps, but I will bring this up to the Bell executives including the VP of sales. I am on your side here and I will do my best to get this resolved. I will PM you my contact information.

Paul

Thanks.
I just want to say that we dont mind switching to another company, infact it came across out mind several times. But since we're in so far already, just see it through wont hurt too bad.

Dont get me wrong, I am not trying to diss anyone here. Just trying to solve a problem as fast as possible.

Thanks for your help Paul.

jack9999 if I was in your position I would be thinking the same thing. The amount of time it has taken Bell to setup one DSL connection is nothing more than ridicules, but we can't pass the blame game to Bell. You paid us not them. What ever the outcome we need to find out why so many missed appointments. At this moment I can't get a straight answer from Bell.

Paul
