| [DW7000] Outlook email problem
I have multiple email accounts from different IP's including 2 HN accounts configured in Outlook. Everything working fine after the big update fiasco until this past Friday. Now one of the HN accounts will not send or receive I get a no response error message. None of my settings have changed, and the other HN account works fine (using the same settings). Called HN Tech support and they actually tried to help, but could not resolve the issue. I can send and receive email from the webmail account on this address. I had a problem some time ago with outlook resolving the IP address for mail.hughes.net, so I'm using 64.97.131.50 for both the outgoing and incoming address.
Anyone have any ideas??? |

| This is one of the great mysteries of Hughes mail. It seems to happen randomly to different people and only effects some accounts. They almost always start working again just as mysteriously as they quit. -- 9000 spaceway III and 6000 SatMex 5 970, Dlink wirless |

| reply to ALHILLDIRT Now it appears that the problem HN email account is even stranger yet. I can log on to my network with my laptop open outlook and grab my HN mail - sometimes. Sometimes it just hangs there processing, and sometimes it times out. When it does that I can close outlook and reopen it and everything works for a few minutes then same old problem. Did a DNS flush, worked for a few minutes then back to the same problem. My desktop just refuses to process this one account at all. I can't see any difference between the settings on the lap top and the desk top? |
