Unable to access Rhapsody Music

Hi, this used to work for me sometime ago but not anymore. I am trying to access rhapsody radio from the comcast.net site after logging in. I click on one of the free radio stations and new window appears prompting me to log in. I do so using my comcast.net and valid password but it returns saying trouble logging me in and or incorrect login information. I reset it and still no luck. Am able to log into comcast.net and to email etc.

Thoughts? I have tried this on IE and FF. I do not have Rhapsody installed. When it worked for me a while back, I did not have it installed.

Am I missing something? Do I need to have it "turned on" again somewhere in my account profile?

Thanks

I've had problems with this myself from time to time....Right now though, I can log into Rhapsody Radio without any problems. Make sure that you log in with "username@comcast.net" Sometimes I forget to do that, and just try to log in using just my user name.

Hi, I do use username@comcast.net and it does not work.
I just tried something here and it worked. IF I recall, back when it was working, I was using a different non comcast.net email. (tells you how long it has been) I tried that and it worked. I remember way back that comcast changed some logins where you have to use the comcast.net account. when I first signed up for comcast, to access some of their sites like to view your bill, you could use a different email address.

Follow up, I updated my account to have the comcast.net email address instead of the other just to be consistent and to see if it makes a difference and I am able to access some radio stations but there are others I am not (which are the ones I wanted to in the first place), need to be premium member. Is that what others are seeing as well. You get some but not all? I checked the profile of the account and it shows Rhapsody+25.
Thanks

Ok, they play here(I know that doesn't help you... ), I had to check.
Thanks

Rhapsody is for any Comcast subscriber - I think.
Cannot see anything that would make some work and others not.

What exactly does the player do?
Do you get any error?

Hi, this is really odd. Trying this at home, can not access any channels. Got to comcast.net and login and then go to music tab and click on radio and select any channel, it prompts me to log in and I enter username@comcast.net with pwd and it returns error

There was a problem logging you in. Please check your username and password and try again.

Yet, if I click on My accounts from the music page which prompts me for login, I enter same information and it lets me in. Under my accounts, it shows the comcast.net address membership status as free radio.

Hi, this is the response I got from Real Support

Thank you for contacting RealNetworks Customer Support.

I understand that you were unable to access some radio stations with your Rhapsody.

I see that you have Free Radio PLUS account.

I would like to inform you that to access unlimited pre-programmed and custom radio stations you need be have an Rhapsody Unlimited or Rhapsody To Go subscription.

What is the setting for others, same and able to access stations? If so I need to go back to them.

thanks

Uh, yeah.
I have just the Free Comcast Rhapsody Radio Plus, and all the stations you stated run fine on that page.

No idea friend... install the Comcast Rhapsody and see what happens:

They *DO* play in the player!!!

I tried something here and created a new comcast.net account. You are allowed up to 6. After I created the new id, I then logged into rhapsody and was able to play the channels I could not with the other id. Very odd. The difference I see for the account information is

Free Rhapsody Radio @ $0.00/month - one that works
Free Rhapsody Radio Free Trial Expires on $0.00/month (paid monthly) - one that fails.

Slight difference in the appearance...who knows?

Sent followup email to Real with this information. Perhaps adjust bad id to match up with one that works? If anything, I have something working now.
