I'm in the "same boat". Refinishing our basement and wanting to get a 46" TV. However, I am not spending another $10 for a 3rd HD box ($33 total)!!! So I have a choice, use the DCT-700 and a splitter to the upstairs TV so I can get local HD channels through the QAM tuner and then the DCT 700 for the rest of the stations. This will free up the HD box upstairs and I can use it in the basement.
Or I will get a TV with a cable card slot....However, only the Mits and Pioneer makes flat panels with CC slots....bummer. Verizon should at least give one free box!!! |
