The site my sister is getting her box from as soon as her coupon card comes later this month, after the $40 (which they apply online) it's $6.99. It has analog pass-through, which as I stated in my previous post is vital to have if you get one in areas like ours served by translators that are still broadcasting and will continue to broadcast in analog after the Feb date. Anyway, hope it helps somebody out :)

Yeah, this is an interesting issue. I couldn't find a hard-drive based unit at any reasonable price with an ATSC tuner, so I settled for a Panasonic DMR-EZ48, which works a lot better than my 2005 vintage Cyberhome unit, but it's a compromise. You would think it would be cheaper and easier to record to a hard drive than have to mess with all that separate motor and laser stuff on a DVD recorder. I would guess that's not the issue, though!

I got my Digital TV converter box coupons in the mail last week, and am trying to decide which box to buy. Does anybody have firsthand experience with this stuff? What should I be looking for to differentiate between the available models? I haven't had much time to shop around yet, but at first glance they all look pretty much the same...
