Max, when mounting the Antenna can you just mount it to a metal plate as long as it's at least 8" by 8"? It doesn't have to be grounded for instance to the house ground or anything? The first few days my connection was awesome (interestingly enough it was pretty cloudy that week) Now, my connection is all over the map. Typically on a sunny day it is only 1x RTT. The closest Alltel tower is about 4 miles to the NE, through trees

I purchased an amplifier/antenna (omnidirectional) kit and hooked it up, and now connnection bounces from "DO" to "RA" to "1X" wreaking havoc with my connection. Had better luck with just unplugging the amplifier.

Is there away to specify the connection type so it won't bounce around?

I have heard about "locking" the UM150 to EVDO only - but the only instructions I have seen were for another carrier.

Anyone have someplace they can point me? Suggestions?

I am located in Barboursville, VA, FWIW...
