a twist on that gas line of thought... comparing cable to dsl is to compare gas to diesel but not going there.
With gas you CAN go across the street. with cable you can't. what im attempting to state is that people say rogers is a huge rip off, but compared to what? Compared to overseas where people live in massive bunches and it costs a fraction of the cost to run cable in canada. When you pretend you have the option of all the cable providers in canada its still not that much better or worse.
You have 4 options as i see it,
your local cable provider
Bell DSL
3rd party DSL
dial up
3rd party DSL has the best pricing with Mother bell in the drivers seat controling that service (cringe) |

WRT to Cable, right there are 2 providers (don't forget 3web), and a plethora of DSL providers |
