Here is my solution to your problem. I placed a tv in the basement that is an HDTV but I as well did not want to pay for another box. so I split the upstairs box with my tv down stairs. My problem is that I had a 25 ft Coax line already so I just used that...but you would be better off running a HDMI or Component down to that tv for a better picture and true HD. Anyway HDMI cable 25 is around 27.00 and 50ft is around 35 I think. Next you get FIOS to send you another Remote Control (hopefully for free) and then you purchase this device. »www.nextgenerationhomeproducts.com/ 32.35 delivered from amazon.com. This works great and allows you to control the box upstairs while down stairs. And I have had zero issues with it. Hope this helps. (just make sure the cable you purchase to run downstairs is in wall rated) Only limiting factor is that both tv have to watch the same channel.
