Had the opportunity to chat 1 on 1 with local MP candidate

I had the opportunity here on the weekend to chat with the local NDP candidate seeking election here in my riding as we are about to enter into a by-election.

I brought up the whole issue of what Bell and Rogers have been up to with regards to throttling for which he knew absolutely nothing about prior to me bringing it up to him. Needless to say he was concerned by what I had explained to him with regards to the DPI and how the ISP's were deciding what traffic took priority. On top of that his son works in IT so he has been in contact with him as well to further help him understand the situation and what has been going on. Needless to say he said that if he does make it into office he will be working to resolve this issue.

if you really do believe him, bring it a tad further and ask what is his plan to change things.

Well he did say that he was going to look into this topic and work to gain a greater understanding of it. I am hoping that I can talk with him again in the next 3-4 weeks and see what he has learned about this and what he thinks would be a good course of action to change things.
