| Fishers in northeast CT?
No, not fishers as in rod and reel, I was thinking fisher cats. I saw something cross the road yesterday that looked like a cross between an otter and a ferret. Bushy fur, dark brown. I was able to stop and watch it for a while.
Are they common this far south in New England? -- "A religious war is like children fighting over who has the strongest imaginary friend."

| reply to ptrowski I have not seen one but I heard they are in the state. A lot of animals are coming back. Just look at all the turkeys!
Before you came to town there was even a moose that visited Putnam. He did not make it to far he crossed RT 21 at the Thompson line sadly the SUV driven by my oil burner repair man happen to be driving there at the exact moment. |

I've lived in CT all my life and saw a fisher cat for the first time about a month ago. It was very stealthy and careful in its movements, much like a fox. It had a beautiful thick coat. From what I've heard, you don't want to mess with one... -- "The stars are matter, we're matter, but it doesn't matter." |
