[ Express] Signal Levels Etc. SB5100

Hello. Well, I finally got moved, and have Rogers installed with my SB5100 modem. The installer had to run RG-12 the distance of three telephone poles to the house, then RG-6 from the box to the modem. Here are the values I got from the modem. Just wondering if they are half decent?
Speed seems to be good.
Signal To Noise Ratio: 38dB
Power Level: -7 dB
Channel ID: 1
Power Level: 39 dBmV

Thanks!!

That's a pretty decent connection!

Thanks. I'm a bit surprised since he had to run that RG-11 so far. The total run is about 275 feet.
Here's my speed results from COGECO

Download: 6921 (Kbps)
Upload: 509 (Kbps)

Gotta remember that on cable speed is not distance dependent.

The loss on an RG11 connection is lower than on RG6 which is why it was used for the long run.

Well, my girlfriend moved here two years ago, and Rogers was suppose to extend their main line down those three polls to the end of the road where she is so the installer (contractor) could hook her up for cable TV. She waited two months and nothing. She called again, said they'd do it that week and scheduled another day to install at the house. Contractor showed up, still not done, so she said forget it and got a satellite dish. 2 years later we want internet...went through the same thing with them, finally the contractor said to hell with it, and ran the RG-11. Thank God...no DSL out here where we are.
