Re: Can't access self-care page

Thanks Krispy. I'll be interested to see what Cogeco says if I exceed my bandwidth limit while they prevent me from seeing how much bandwidth I have used. A VPN is not possible, since I am currently in Brazil, my PC in Canada is turned off and I have no way of configuring it remotely. But I appreciate the suggestion.

They will say, "You are receiving this message as Cogeco's monitoring system has detected excess bandwidth utilization coming to/from your system."

If you PM me some way to find your account (typically I ask for the cable modem mac from the sticker on the modem but since you're abroad that might not work for you) I can see what I can do to ensure you get notices, etc.

If your PC is turned off it is unlikely that you will exceed your bandwidth limit.

Actually, it is possible. I have other services running through a router that use bandwidth. There are many things one can do with an Internet connection that don't require a PC to be turned on.
