| Can I keep my sbcglobal emails if I get rid of ATT DSL?
My DSL connection starts acting up (DSL unstable or 1/4 of the speed)about 6-7 times a year. I thinking of switching to another provider.
If I switch will I loose my sbcglobal email accounts? If yes, is there away I can keep my email accounts?
Thank you! |

| Are you seriously asking that, if you stop being their customer, will they allow you to keep using their services?
While you might be able to keep your messages available by merging your AT&T account with a Yahoo account, you won't be able to keep the @sbcglobal.com addresses. And, you'll be paying Yahoo instead.
You could downgrade to dial-up, but that's not likely to be an economical solution. -- It's not what you know but who you know... |

Actually if you are experiencing any problems with your service I think you may want to try a call to tech support first before disconnecting, just refer that you have an "intermittent connection" and "slow browse" not all techs are as good as this is a high turn over field, most are ok, but you are looking for a good one, so try to help them to help you. And since there is a script for both of this issues even if you get one of the ok ones instead of the good ones you will be able to fix this.
In response to your question if we are unable to solve this to your satisfaction we have the option of transferring your main member id to yahoo (id@sbcglobal.net -> id@yahoo.com) but that is only for the master accounts not for the sub-accounts those will be lost, now this means that you will not have the same email anyway so more probably this will not be the best solution.
Personally what I do is to use a free yahoo/google/hotmail account not merged to anything, that way if I do change ISP's my account will not be tied to them |
