Picture quality problem

trent25 : I've been having a bit of picture quality issues in the past couple of days (standard definition).

I've had a slight static in the sound on at least one channel (msnbc) for a while but never bothered to investigate it. But a couple of days back and till now I've noticed that at least msnbc and comedy central are having periods (no more than a minute long) with intense pixelation and picture flickering, and the static in the sound on msnbc seems a bit worse. Those are my 2 most watched channels!

I remember checking my signal levels a couple of months ago and they were fine (according to a post I saw here on these forums). I cannot remember how to get to that menu anymore :p. If it matters my HSI signals are well within the range of recommended signal levels.

I have a Motorola DCT2224 receiver. Connected to a 2 way splitter along with an Arris EMTA.

I would just like to try and narrow down the problem a bit before I call comcast so that hopefully I can get things resolved a bit faster.
