Assuming a modest 1mbps stream for IPTV, that means that to broadcast a show like American Idol would require 37,000,000mbps (37 TERAbit!) of bandwidth at the headend. That's only for a single show!
Unicast IP streams will never scale to replace standard broadcast/satellite/cable TV. |
