Changing the folder icon from the plain vanilla to something distinctive on the desktop sure helps me spot it faster.
Here is a bunch of 3kb folder icons.. all distinctive, and some pretty neat, like in the second row of my desktop.. the yellow/eagle, the colorful scene, the purple with smiley

enjoy :)

WInXP Pro here, I made a folder called icons and put in in Windows\system32 folder that way when I click and choose change icon, I only have to move one step up the folder tree to get to it.

Internet shortcuts I've dragged there to check out later when I have time.
If it is a shortcut I want, then I change the icon to something recognizable, like the 2 Hobbs are for router and modem.
I've got folders to sort stuff into, and a folder called stuff that didn't logically sort and I'll deal with later.

May look a mess, but makes sense to me :p

Thanks, I'm pretty partial to Pearl. She's my favorite horse. They are expensive to have no doubt about that! I started with just Pearl 2 years ago half leasing her from her owner. Now between myself and my girlfriend we have 8 total. She had 3 and I had 2 when we met 1.5 years ago. :) In 2 years I went from half leasing a single horse to owning 8 of them. :D They're like potatoe chips! You can't have just one. :D
