Tryin2help : I am having trouble with this PC and Comcast. Just switched from at&t dsl and it was working. The modem is directly connected to the PC. The strange things is that when I connect another pc to the modem it works fine.
I have tried changing cables. I have tried buying a PCI network card several different brands. All i get is "A network cable is not connected". Here is the strange part. When I bring it to my neighbors house and connet it to their DSL with a router it works fine. The PCI network card and the onboard one. The comcast tech came out today to change the modem and it didnt matter. Same thing. No link light at all and "A network cable is disconnected". If anyone has any ideas please let me know. I have not seen this before.

Thanks in advance.
