And go true fibre ala fios.
Typical US West/qwest/qworst/whatever/ using tired obsolite tech because its cheaper.
Who's going to pay for the fiber? My parents certainly aren't going to pay $100+ per month to have FTTH. Hell, they won't even upgrade to 1.5M DSL because it's a couple dollars more per month than they're paying now.

ftth is not $100/month. Get your facts straight..
ATM, Verizon is the ONLY baby bell in the FTTH business, and their service is around $40/month for 10/2 service, if bundled with phone service.
Qworst is definitely not offering FTTH, nor do they have the resources or insight to do so. They're nothing more than a sitting duck buyout target.

Get your facts straight Qwest does offer FTTH

checkurfacts

@comcast.net
  Eh..come again.. you failed to check your facts before complaining about others for posting false facts.

Qwest is FTTN Fiber to the node. (not house... hence FTTN/ADSL2)
Verizon Fios is FTTH Fiber to the home.

wrong again

@iauq.com
Qwest offers FTTH AND FTTN two diffrent products the FTTH offers tv and internet service where FTTN is just the internet service.
