[Packet8] LNPI've been using a Packet8 number as my main "home office" DID/line. Due to a promotion, I don't need to maintain a separate home office number. Can one LNP a VOIP number to a Cell service?
Are there any things I should be aware of as this is my only line with P8? Any snags with cancelling P8 service? |

Re: [Packet8] LNPyou can certainly port a P8 number to a cell service, so long as the rate center boundaries are not an issue. I'm not aware of a cell service that will allow you to park a number, or have two numbers on one handset, so you'll likely have to pick up a new cell subscription. canceling your P8 service is a different question -- there might be a cancel fee based on your plan and P8's TOS. |

It's very easy to go from VoIP to Cell.
One thing to keep in mind though is that it's not as quick and painless to go from Cell to VoIP.
That may or may not be a concern for you, but just something to keep in mind. |

Not really a concern, no. Since I'm dropping the VOIP line, and am in need of getting a new Cell, I figured I'd pass my old Cell to my wife (Only Family has that number anyway) who needs a cell. |
