n2hisname : I finally got ATT aka Bellsouth to work correctly. I switched from cable to DSL and i am satisfied. So nobody's perfect. I was whining last week because nothing on the DSL side was working like i wanted it to. But now it is, so i'm not whining. Expect everything to go up from here as the economy slows. I am very happy with Bellsouth(ATT Southeast)this week. Whatever they fixed....i hope it stays that way. But it blows communicom away on advertised speed. So stop whining.
:hmm:

I moved to GA in Sept and started my POTS and DSL service, and I've not heard any mention of increases since. In fact, the prices are very competitive. My 6Mb Xtreme DSL package costs me $27.95 a month.

Maybe it also has to do with the area of the state you're in, and whether or not competition is a factor for ATT. I know it is here in the Atlanta area. If you have choices there in SC, then vote with your dollars and switch to another POTS, VoIP, DSL or cable provider.
