Does anyone have an M-card for use with FiOS (ideally in Redondo Beach)? I was told by the person on the phone that I would be receiving 2 M-cards for my two TiVo HD boxes, but I am not that confident.

m cards are coming in june. I'll believe it when I see it. When I got my tivo hooked up in dec 07 the installer said we'd have M cards by Jan.
It's May and I'm still using two S cards. |

And the M-cards are in the field being tested in some new customer installations. The S-cards have been MD'd by Moto. |

Anyone have links to specs on the new boxes? Will these be replacing (God I hope) the 6200 series boxes? |

Couldn't find any actual processor, memory, or drive specs though. |

| reply to majortom64 Ok, I'm a bit confused here. Why exactly would Verizon go with the 7100 series? They're exempt from the FCC requirement for providing seperable security in their STBs. It just seems to me that this would do nothing but drive up the cost of the STBs (needing a cable card in addition to the box itself). Aside from the increased RAM, I see no benefit with going this route. I would figure that Verizon would at least move to the next generation of STBs. Motorola has one coming out - called the DCX series, I believe. Looks like a comprehensive, fully loaded box. |
