Harrington Park, NJ		PCLOS - program will not open

I click on Virtualbox and I see in the taskbar it is opening, but then it justs disappears and never opens? It was working fine before. I can open it as root??? Any ideas?

I do not know why, but it belongs to root now, I changed it to my user and all looks good.

Did you play with permissions on /tmp?

If not, then sounds like it may run in /tmp and failed to set permissions correctly or you ran it as root and it's using hostname in the directory.

Simple fix:

Beat me to it. When something fails to load in the GUI I always try a load from the terminal so I can see any error messages that would otherwise be supressed. Glad it's working
