MonstaDriva : Julie I'm in central time zon too .If your being throttled it will be from 3pm central to 11 pm central which is of course 4pm till 12 am eastern . If you wanna prove it to yourself do a speedtest at exactly 2:58 your time and then do another at 3:01 and you'll see it plummet . It will saty like that and you do another at 10:58 pm and again at 11:01 pm . even though the examples I'm showing say 4 amd 12am thats because of hughes time but in my time zone and yours is 3 - 11 . This is the pattern your looking for . For people in mountain it might be 2 -10 and pacific 1 - 9 but on their hughesnet it might very well show 4-12 according to their Noc time . Also I could have predicted slaver would be back to having this problem because the pattern of fixing has been about about 7 days and then right back to the throttling . My first fix laster exactly 7 days . They fixed it again and it lasted 2 days . Then the 3rd fix lasted 2 hours . Theres definitly some criteria flagging users I think .

May 7th, 04:00PM - 77/33 kbps
May 7th, 03:58PM - 907/96 kbps

May 6th, 04:00PM - 77/34 kbps
May 6th, 03:59PM - 905/143 kbps

May 3rd, 12:01AM - 754/177 kbps
May 2nd, 11:58PM - 70/39 kbps

May 2nd, 04:00PM - 75/53 kbps
May 2nd, 03:58PM - 822/118 kbps

During the rare times (2x or 3x) in the last couple of years where I had an extended slowdown of several days or so it would only last for a week until the next time that Hughes did a load balance on the transponder or gateways and then it was back to good speeds again. It's screaming this morning with much better than pro plan speeds.

quote:
:::..
[HN7000S] Got my afternoon/evening speeds back !!

InTheSticks : Like many of you on this forum, I also experienced significant download speeds after 1 pm Eastern over the last few months. My speeds would drop from 1 mbps to 90 kbps at exactly the same time each day.
Anyways, long story short, a week ago, my afternoon speeds started picking up, and last Saturday evening, my download speeds were 800+ kbps.
I've done nothing at my end, no phone calls to HN, modem had not been turned off etc. I guess the only difference was that my daily activity was reduced, especially after 1 pm. I average 150 mb up/down a day, and haven't fapped in over a year. I've never run p2p, though, I do use Second Life - an online virtual world, while I'm logged in, there's a continuous stream of data across the modem, typically 65 kbps down / 25 kbps up, sometimes more if I'm in a crowded area. I wonder if HN mistook this pattern for p2p activity.......
Anyways, I'm pretty happy with my speeds again !!
--
| R16 970 99W | HN7000S 5.1.6.19 | Pro Plan | Windows XP
