4 edits | [Serious] Prayers and Mojo Needed Please keep my cousin, Suzy, in your prayers. She had a 7 hour operation today to remove a cyst from her pancreas. No sign of cancer so far. She is in ICU for at least 3 days.
Please keep my son, Joshua, in your thoughts too. He has been hospitalized again for depression.

I don't know if it would help, but several years back, my therapist had me read a book that she said would make great sense to me and would help, since I am bipolar: _An Unquiet Mind_. If your Joshua gets where he can see that he is not alone and that others like him have been able to move forward and live productive lives in spite of severe depression, it might energize his heart.
In the past, some of my bouts with depression were so deep that I couldn't possibly find words to describe. People who don't suffer depression simply can't really understand it, it isn't just about being sad, it is much more complicated and confounding. It can take years, but there ARE ways to treat it and to feel at least somewhat better. I know I have improved, even though I am still a work in progress.
I'll keep caring and praying, and if you or Joshua need someone to talk to, hey, I am here, and I am a good listener, believe it or not.

Miss Suzy is still in ICU. She should be out in a day or two, as she is stable.
Joshua might get to go home on Monday. They are working on stabilizing his Depacote levels.

Both Suzy and Joshua came home from the hosptial today. Suzy wanted McDonald's french fries. They have to watch her blood sugar since they took 2/3 of her pancreas. Joshua is doing fine.
