If your Joshua gets where he can see that he is not alone and that others like him have been able to move forward and live productive lives in spite of severe depression, it might energize his heart.

In the past, some of my bouts with depression were so deep that I couldn't possibly find words to describe. People who don't suffer depression simply can't really understand it, it isn't just about being sad, it is much more complicated and confounding. It can take years, but there ARE ways to treat it and to feel at least somewhat better. I know I have improved, even though I am still a work in progress.

I'll keep caring and praying, and if you or Joshua need someone to talk to, hey, I am here, and I am a good listener, believe it or not.

She had a 7 hour operation today to remove a cyst from her pancreas. No sign of cancer so far. She is in ICU for at least 3 days.

Please keep my son, Joshua, in your thoughts too. He has been hospitalized again for depression.
