| EVGA Video Drivers
Just purchased a new EVGA 9600GT for my new build. The latest drivers for the card according to the Nvidia site are the 174.74 drivers for Vista 64 bit. If you go to the EVGA site they have 175.12 for Vista 64. Just wondering which are best to install. »www.evga.com/9driver/ -- "It's a nice day if you wake up in Disneyland" |

| reply to NYR11 174.74 is the latest non-beta version.
175.12 was the latest beta version as of last week. 175.16 is the latest beta as of right now.
Go with 174.14 :P -- Anime / F@H |

| reply to NYR11 A little off topic but you also might want to try the new eVGA utility:
»eVGA Precision GPU Overclocking Tool Released
Its not just for overclocking. The eVGA Precision tool can also give you video card statistics on screen while in games and more. |

| reply to NYR11 A little off - off topic. Read somwhere that a study of crashes for Vista had a disproportionate amount due to Nvidia drivers.
Last night when I checked my windows update Vista had some Nvidia related downloads (although not urgent), which I thought was interesting in the timing aspect.
However, how many crashes are from users having the worng or out of date drivers?
Back to the OP, As long as you use common sense with NVidia drivers I've never had a problem in all the years of using exclusively Nvidia based cards.
And for the old timers, my 'big' card before Nvidia came along was 3dfx, remember those....lol |
