So yes, at some point you'll have no choice but to "upgrade" to AVG 8.
But they're not really "forcing" you to do anything...until May 31st, that is. (In the mean time, hit "Upgrade later", and it will go away for a while).
On the other hand, I suppose they'll be "forcing" me to use a different AV program at that time. 
I'm really not too happy about this change. (For further details, see some of the links lilhurricane  provided).
