| Road Runner Speed Issue with XPSP2
Hello,
My download speed for my XP box is really slow, and lately it is freezing on dowloads of 300 to 500 MB. The initial download speed starts out high then steadily decreases, then the download stops. As noted below I have a home network with 4 subnets (1 for the XP box, 1 for wireless, 1 for 2003 server-DMZ, and 1 unused). I do not have this speed issue with the 2003 server box. The only time I use the VPN configuration is when I connect to my job.

• Set TCP Receive Window (RWIN) to 128480
• Leave Windows Scaling, Time Stamping, Selective Acks, Path MTU Discovery and Black Hole Detection default
• Clear TTL and Max Duplicate Acks boxes.
• Hit Save, Exit and Reboot your computer.
• Download a file from here note your speed at 40% and post it in your thread.
• Post another tweak test and best of three speed tests closer to you from here once you reboot your computer.
