| [AT&T] Moto T720
Yes I am probably one of the few that still has a T720 but it now has a annoying problem. The little tab switch when you open and close the phone gets stuck and not release smoothly when I open the phone to talk. It take like 20 seconds for the tab to be released so that I can take the call. Is there a fix for this problem? I like this phone and this was the only problem I have had with the phone so far. In fact I am still on the old plan of 29.95 300 min peak and 5000 min night and weekends northeast regional. If there is no fix for this tab issue I am looking for a basic phone and having decent speaker phone would be nice and battery life too. I was looking at the Moto V65 but I can only get that online at AT&T website. I went to the local AT&T phone store and I was not impressed with the samsungs they had or the Nokia's I saw. I sort of like the Moto Razor and Kazor or something but I don't know how the speakerphone is or actual battery life. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks. |

The razor has pretty good battery life. Never tested or know anyone who has a kazr. |

How is the performance of speakerphone on the Razor? I can see that feature being handy since that is something I don't have presently. I not set on this phone yet as I still looking. I read that the Moto A780 is nice too but I don't know who has one. |

| reply to neftv My wife has a RAZR and I have a KRZR and they both have excellent sound both in the earpiece and microphone. The speakerphone is very good, there are times when I sneak it on and callers don't know I am on a speakerphone. Battery life is about the same as the 720 (I also used to have one). Choosing between the 2 phones is your call based on the size you feel comfortable with. |

| Any particular version of Razr or Krzr I should get? When I log in to my account at AT&T web site I see they have refurbished ones too. How good are those? Probably this weekend I will be able to go to the local store to look at both but I want to make sure I have the best version of the phone. |

| Personally, I would stay away from re-furbished. As for the Model numbers - the
RAZR: V3 RAZR: V9 - but it is much more expensive than the V3
I am beginning to think that AT&T stopped carrying the KRZR but here is a link to their Motorola Cell phone page:

The internal antenna on the razr is very very good. |

They should be able to keep the plan. The last two times I upgraded I had a regional plan that was not offered anymore and they had no problems leaving it that way. I only recently changed the plan because I needed more minutes. --

I would personally stay away from anything re-furbished.
Just my opinion. |

| reply to neftv For better or for worse I just got a Blackberry Curve 8310 from Radio Shack. They had a promotion on this phone and it was significantly discounted for a new phone. I had to get the unlimited internet to get the discounted phone. I am trying it out with the 30 day grace period and it will be determined if I want the internet. I keep my regional plan too. It is really more phone than I need but I guess it is what it is. If anyone has comments on this phone I like know what you think. Thanks again. |

| It's more phone then I expected to have. How long does it take to learn this phone? It's got very good ratings. I learned how to do speakerphone and it works great. The 720 didn't have a speakerphone. It came with a charger, pouch, usb cord, earphones for hands free. I have to get use to the tiny buttons too. |

| It takes about a week to get used to everything. Did you know that if you know other Blackberry users, you can send them unlimited "text-like" messages using what are called PIN messages? Uses part of the unlimited data package. Also, you can send and receive emails from up to 10 of your personal email accounts in real time.
Use 1800 466-4411 for free directory assistance using Google.
When looking at the screen, press the silver button on the top once and the display gets brighter for use in sunlight.
If you load the USB software that came with it, you can charge the phone from your PC when the PC is on. |

| Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, I don't know other BB users. If you set up email accounts can it be set up to tell the email server to store the emails. In other words I don't want to get them deleted if I read the emails on the phone. Is it possible to watch real player and Windows media player feeds on this phone via some universal player? I like to be able to click on a streaming link on a web page and up opens the player. The web browsing is ok on this phone. What exactly is the $30 Personal Blackberry deal? Unlimited to what extent? |

If you set up email accounts can it be set up to tell the email server to store the emails. In other words I don't want to get them deleted if I read the emails on the phone. YES: once you set them up, you can specify it and you'll see that you get offered a deletion choice: It will say delete ON MAILBOX AND HANDHELD or ON HANDHELD. Is it possible to watch real player and Windows media player feeds on this phone via some universal player? I like to be able to click on a streaming link on a web page and up opens the player. YES: There is a built in player and you can "spawn" the player by clicking on a link. The web browsing is ok on this phone. What exactly is the $30 Personal Blackberry deal? Unlimited to what extent? IT IS "UNLIMITED": You couldn't possibly exceed the cap based on what you are describing. Just use it and enjoy it. The only time people exceed the caps is when they have an air card and they use it for streaming video etc. The Blackberry plans take into account normal usage. There is also a group of "user groups" on Howard Forums and a little more discussions on Phone Scoop.com where you can talk to a lot of users there also. |

| reply to neftv Do not use it for Skype or other voice avoidance services as that will "violate" the terms of the unlimited plan. They don't want you to do that. Who is your provider? AT&T or Sprint?
As for the Satellites - the number will vary from 3 to many many more depending on where you are on the planet.... |
