| 10 MB package
I never thought the day would come but 10 MB was finally available out here where I live. I'm on an RT and the top speed I had before was 1.5 so it's quite a shock going to 10 MB. I also have to thank dsldude08 for hooking me up, all the other CS reps said it wasn't available. I am still working with it to tweak it a little because I am only getting 4 to 5 MB down (should I be complaining lol) but my upload is right were it's supposed to be. My stats are actually a bit better than I thought they'd be. (I also need to update my review )Anywho here are my screen shots!

PS. I'm not sure why my line mode is "undefined" and if anyone could help me tweak my computer to get closer to my 10 MB that'd be great! -- 1.5/256 CenturyTel PPPoE DSL line |

| reply to chd176 I called the help desk and I was told I'm not getting my full 10 MB because the upgrade is still in progress and it should go to speeding up after 5pm. I have a feeling that guy filled me full of crap lol. Also since I'm synced at 12 MB (and so far not even a blink with my sync) and I pay for 10 MB shouldn't I get a little closer to 10 MB like 8 or 9ish? -- 1.5/256 CenturyTel PPPoE DSL line |

| Actually, come to think about it, it hasn't fully completed just yet. Let's just keep an eye on it for today and see what happens. | reply to chd176 Hehe, yeah, I wish I had that speed at home too. But not yet, soon hopefully. The order is done, so at 7,000ft and 24 gauge I would hope to see you getting anywhere from 5MB-7MB. Also for S&G I hooked up my old B90 6100 and it connected at 11680/864 lol, also it showed my line mode as ADSL2 instead of not defined...odd. Another thing I'm now on Fast Path instead of Interleaved. Still haven't gotten my full 10 but I'm pretty much happy -- 1.5/256 CenturyTel PPPoE DSL line |

| Checking into it right now. They weren't aware that 10MB was available yet (was only 3MB to their knowledge), but it obviously is. We're trying to see what's going on with the speed and so forth. | I think you're supposed to be fiber fed...checking right now, because you aren't going through the ATM, straight through fiber. But to your home, it's not fiber. Which may be a problem. It'd be a good problem though, because then you could get 15MB. I'll keep checking and let you know what I find out. | Yeah, the way it's setup looks weird, but it may be correct because the RT is fiber fed. But we'll see. Any improvement on the speeds? Did you try a different test site, such as Dallas, TX or Chicago?
You may also want to try to hard rest the new Westell to see if that does anything for the speed or the stats being updated like they should be. -- "We the people are the rightful masters of both Congress and the courts, not to overthrow the Constitution but to overthrow the men who pervert the Constitution." - Abraham Lincoln |
