Both are used all the time. Neither one of ours have had any issues. My family owns 2 other acer laptops and an acer desktop. All without problems. Acer treats us well. -- When you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all.

SSX4life Premium join:2004-02-13 >_ lolz	Acer only has USA based tech support as well. They are the only company that I know of that if you call in about your laptop they will put you on hold and go get that exact model off a shelf and walk you though any issues or problems. They also recently purchased Gateway last year and are the #1 computer maker in Asia Kudos to Acer imho, just make sure you get the extended care warranty and don't use the laptop as a kickstand. -- »www.google.com is your best friend... please use it before asking your question.
