| Need help with simple Row & column web fomat
I have a task of upkeeping our church website by encoding & uploading sermons for streaming. I have very limited HTML knowkledge so I've been using MS Publisher. As far as uploading th sermon goes, I simply create a table where the top row has the various headings (Date : Speaker : Title: Stream Video : ETC) and below I simple fill in the grid accordinly. In the table I also create certain text that is linked to any pertinent media. Nothing fancy just a row column chart with linkable text. I also have a record of the sermons etc properly documented in MS Assess. Is there a way I can import my access databse to the website and link the text to media file.

El Paso, TX | In short, yes, you can link an access database to a web page. There are multiple methods of doing this. What kind of host do you have? Linux, or Windows? I'll give you some info based on the type of host. |

| Ok, with Linux your best bet is probably using PHP. You can connect to an Access database with PHP, and have it display whatever is in the database. Its not as easy as it sounds (nor is it as hard as you'd think). Try »bryanmills.net:8086/archives/200···and-php/ for a quick run-through. That's kind of old though (I think?)
You could try MetaBase »www.phpclasses.org/browse/package/20.html
You'd just need to upload the access file to your server and write the PHP pages for doing the connection and display. You could do your changes in Access and just upload the new file when you're ready for the changes to go live.
An alternative would be to migrate to MySQL or PostGres and use PHP (or Rails, or Django) and make your updates in your web application. Course, you could probably do that w/ Access as well, but I wouldn't use Access for anything thats production. |

I don't really know how PHP works, but I'll check the links you posted and see if I can make sense it it. Right now I'm leaning towards the first option you mentioned, thanks
