said by drawmada :Ok but if the connection is an 8 mbit the basically there is no problem with the modem correct? It will be running within parameters and function well? If so, then why would a technician say oh it's locked at 5 mbps, it cant go any faster? Laziness on their part? lol The tech didn't say anything wrong, he/she merely "dumbed down" the whole Ethernet port situation by saying the modem is "limited" to 5Mbit/s, which is roughly correct (I've seen them do between 5-7 myself) -- I swear that I will faithfully and bear true allegiance to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second, Queen of Canada, Her Heirs and Successors, and that I will faithfully observe the laws of Canada and fulfil my duties as a Canadian citizen. |

Well thanks for the enlightenment hehe ... now I understand much better |
