| No. I do not use any mobile antennas like that. On two of my service trucks I have non-rugged Maxrad 2.4GHz antennas that are fixed mounted. They are 3.5 or 5db in gain.
There are other installs that i have seen that use the rugged Maxrad like this one: »www.tessco.com/products/displayP···ntPage=1
FWIW though, mag mounts are not very good. -- "No job is so important, and no service is so urgent that we cannot take the time to do it safely." -- AT&T --Safety One Tower Rescue Certified --LLigetfa:"Wimax is like teenage sex. Everyone talks about doing it." |

| reply to sarpkaya Fixed mount antennaes where you drill a hole in the trunk lid or a lip mount is what we generally us.
We only do Mobile 900Mhz its abotu the real only way to get good coverage.
I would not even atempt to do it with 2.4, 5.3, 5.7 or 4.9 your just not going to get the coverage as you do with 900 driving down the road. We have about 15-17 DB gain sectors at the AP and about 5--9DBi at the mobile ant and get several miles out of them.. -- ComTrain Certified Tower Climber. We've done work for customers providing mobile access. 2.4GHz has been the main deployment but if I had my way I'd tear it out and replace it with Alvarion 900MHz mobile product. |

| reply to sarpkaya I wouldn't plan on it working too smoothly then.
You are going to need to have some pretty dense coverage and tight channel planning.
I wouldn't try it using standard 802.11 gear. You are going to clobber your AP's. -- "No job is so important, and no service is so urgent that we cannot take the time to do it safely." -- AT&T --Safety One Tower Rescue Certified --LLigetfa:"Wimax is like teenage sex.
