Not surprised, but still sad. Maurice is a great coach and has tremendous hockey knowledge. I hope he'll succeed in his next job, I guess Toronto wasn't the right place for him.
So it looks like next year for the Leafs will be completely different. Hopefully we can get our hands on a capable GM, as that seems to be the biggest problem. No quick fixes, just hire a GM who has a plan and let him complete that plan even if the early phases don't pan out. |
