grumpy3b : A fast question before I give the number a call. And please know I HATE calling anyone...hehehehe...anyway, I see the "new" pages the tool works but the prices shown refelct nothing special in any way as far as rates go. The email I received indicates a special deal but only if I renew/upgrade online. No such offer appears on the new pages when logged into my account.

The content of the email was as follows:

quote:
Thank you for being a loyal DSLExtreme client! Our records indicate that your contract is going to expire. To show our gratitude for your continued support, we are pleased to offer you one of our new promotional packages.

To take advantage of this special offer please complete the Modify Subscription form under Account on our website. To be directed to the Modify Subscription form please click on the link below:

This special offer is only available to DSLExtreme clients who submit their order
online. By submitting this order you are agreeing to a new 12 month term. Our terms and conditions can be found on our website by clicking here.

If you do not sign up for this new term, your monthly rate will increase to the current month-to-month price per your contract.

So what do I do to ensure I do not get hosed by sales?? Sorry, just being blunt as I have zero trust in ANYONE in sales as they all work on commission and, for the most part, their income improves if they withold specials/deals. Not saying the DSLx folks are like that but sales is sales the world 'round. They are all slick-Willy used car sales types.
--
Using Millenicom?
DSLX_Zak : Grumpy3b

I sent you a PM in response to this inquiry but I thought I would respond here as well. It would appear the on-line "modify subscription" tool is not working properly at this time for some customers. If you have trouble getting it to show you available subscriptions give our billing team a call and place the renewal with them over the phone. Sorry for the inconvenience.

grumpy3b : Hi George/DSL_Zak or ????,

My year agreement ends on 06/01/08 and I received my email the other day that I could upgrade to a 'special' deal if I renew online. After over 7 years with DSLx I am not going anywhere but for some reason I am not being allowed to upgrade or modify my sub online. Says something about my line not being 'eligible' for upgrading/modifying online and I am instructed to call sales. Huh?

Any help as I am loathe to spend any time on the phone with sales or support.

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
--
Using Millenicom?
