 Desktop Wallpaper randomly partially loads

Hi,

I'm working on a new image for our lab computers. I've loaded up XP and set some desktop options through group policy. I have a custom background image, which I stored in the Windows/Web/Wallpaper folder. The odd thing is, whenever I log in the background only partially loads. It's fairly random as to how much loads, but it seems to be fairly consistent in that it starts from the top of the screen. It will cut out to black at a random spot. Right clicking the desktop and selecting 'refresh' fixes it. Has anyone else ever seen anything quite like this? Or does anyone have any tips on how to correct it?

Thanks!

JPG or bitmap? Loads of folks have faced this...We had our logon wallpaper with the same problem. I believe (dont quote me!) we got around it by switching to a .bmp.

Ah yeah it was a jpg file. I converted it to a bitmap and it appears to be loading correctly now. Thanks!
