Those kind of problems are usually related to signal strength. Check your splitters and make sure all connections are good. If they are then try the direct forum or a call to support. As for the DVR the SA is not as good as Tivo but the price is better. -- THE ROAD: Romans 3:23, 6:23, 5:8, 10:9 |

join:2000-04-11 Haledon, NJ | Signal strength is fine. Price of the DVR is alot more than DirectTV's DVR $10/month per unit instead of I believe $5.99 total for all 4 of my DirecTV DVRs.
I will have to call their support line.
Thanks |

DirecTV only charges 5bucks for their DVR service which is applied to all the DVR's on any one account and then each DVR is treated as a box and you only pay for the mirroring/leasing fee. So if you have one DirecTV DVR, that DVR is like 9 bucks a month when you add the DVR + Lease fee together, if you have a second, third, or fourth DVR, they only cost 4.99 a month, or whatever their lease fee is these days. Cablevision needs to apply the DVR fee to the entire account and stop charging it for each DVR, that is highway robbery given the lack of advaned features.
As for HD channels, they are always a pain. I had a technician tell me the other day that having HD breakup on occasion is just something we have to get used to. He told me that even in his own house, where he knows the signals are good (why wouldn't they be good in a CV installers house?) he has issues with the HD channels from time to time. |
