I'm on a triad rr connection. I rebooted my cable box and used speakeasy's speed test and got the following...

Download Speed: 5973 kbps (746.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 371 kbps (46.4 KB/sec transfer rate)

So it appears, at least in my area, that they only boosted the download speed...1 meg...not the doubling that the GSO office told you.

I didn't reset the modem but I'm getting like 5900....I was told that I didn't have to reboot the modem for this. Maybe this was the same person that told me we were going to 10. LOL ??
