| AC211 credentials
My SunRocket AC211SR is now quite old. I have a ticket open requesting my credentials so that I may change hardware. Teleblend Support is telling me that they can not and will give me this information so that I can setup my new hardware. This is the just plain stupid.
I held off porting out when everything came crashing down with SunRocket, I thought I would give The Teleblend a chance.
If TBSupport wouldnt mind assisting me with this information you might be saving a customer. |

| We do not give out our credentials. The only hardware that is approved to work on our network is the hardware you had from Sunrocket, or the hardware we provide you. Now if you are having an issue with that hardware, give us a call and we will look at getting you a replacement. |

| reply to Bill44130 Bill -- Not to demean your legitimate request, but many VoIP providers will not give out the Administrative Credentials for their adapters. They do not allow BYOD. One of the rationales is that allowing customers to "fiddle" with adapter settings results in more calls and trouble tickets to customer service, making for a heavier support load -- and in many cases customer service is not up to handling "personalized" device settings.
SunRocket in particular, from whom you originally obtained the AC211, never gave out the secret data -- although many of us ultimately "hacked" the Gizmos to give us access to a bunch of features. Near the end of SR's life, they re-provisioned the Gizmos that did not have AutoProvisioning disabled, loading in new passwords which were not given out to customers.
TeleBlend, as I recall, posted early on that they did not have access to the secret passwords (sounds a bit strange). But keep in mind that SunRocket closed its doors, fired its employees -- and TeleBlend stepped in at the request of the "liquidators" -- using whatever SR data and infrastructure and upstream providers they could salvage.
With TB, it would seem that your only options are (1) Request a replacement device from TB - or - (2) Port your number to another provider that allows BYOD. |

| I try to stay proactive in keeping newer hardware(less chance of being down). My current AC211 is about 4+ years old and I am sure at the end of its life. My current AC211 is not their device. They are only providing service which I pay them for.
If Teleblend is not interested in keeping my business then I will begin my search to port my phone numbers over and dump the service. |

The issue is not whether or not TB wants to keep your business, from their perspective. TB has a (relatively) long-standing policy of not allowing BYOD and not permitting access to their own ATAs. Other VoIP providers have the same policy. It's simply a part of their Business Plan. So, respectfully, you can complain all you want, but TB is going to stick by its guns --- so start looking now. |

| nothing with them is long standing; they haven't been in business not even a year. As for business plan I seriously doubt they even have a business plan, they still are not accepting new customers. If they do have a plan it may go something like lets see how long it takes us to lose our customers.
Last one out please turn off the lights! |
