[CATV] 2 of the same channel

This is messed up, I have on 173 & 196 the same exact channel with a couple seconds delay. It's the Reelz Channel and I have 2 of them.....

There are 3 or 4 duplicated channels here. I assumed one was analog and one was digital. They look slightly different, quality-wise.

Actually it's the same exact feed now, 2 channels 1 feed because the channel doesn't flicker when I go to each channel like it normally does when you change channels. Unless it's something that HDTVs do there is no visible resolution difference.

There was a message on the bill statement I received this week about this duplication. The Channel 173 version was planned to be turned on early this month and the Channel 196 version is scheduled to be shut off in early June. There was no explanation about why this was occurring, but I would assume that it is a way to minimize phone calls from people asking where their channel went after a lineup rearrangement. Last month, we had two analog feeds of CSPAN2 running here (one right after CSPAN1, the other about 40 channels away), so this seems to be policy now.

Alright but how hard is it to just take the channel off?

Sorry for the bump but they still haven't done anything yet & June is almost over. It shouldn't take over a month to simply remove 1 channel.
