I used speedtest.net to run the test and compared it with my neighbours Rogers cable connection which was a 5.3Mbps download and a 472Kbps upload.

As I mentioned in previous threads along with other DSL users there are no guarantees for speeds. Every customer will have a different profile assigned to them. There are many factors that will determine a customer's sync rate. Distance from the equipment, faulty equipment or wiring at the SLAM, inside wiring, faulty phone outlet, modem etc. The only way to tell if DSL is right for you is to get your feet wet and give it a try for a month either with Velcom or any other DSL provider.
