The Actiontec is getting what it thinks is a WAN IP address from the LAN side of the Belkin. This is not a problem for the STBs to get guide data and VOD, but it is preventing your PCs connected on the Belkin from getting to the STBs.

What you want to achieve is to have the Belkin, Actiontec and STBs all on the same subnet. You don't indicate what the respective subnet addresses of the routers are, but I'm going to assume the Belkin is 192.168.0.1 and the Actiontec LAN side is 192.168.1.1.

Here's what you need to do:
• Login into the Actiontec. You will need to connect directly to the Actiontec.
• Disable DHCP Server in the Actiontec since the Belkin will be doing this.
• Go to Network Connections -> Network (Home/Office) -> Settings. Under Internet Protocol, specify a static address on the Belkin subnet (e.g. 192.168.0.2); APPLY.
• Move the patch cable between the Belkin and the Actiontec WAN to an Actiontec LAN port.
• With your PC still connected to the Actiontec, you should now be able to do an IPCONFIG /RELEASE and IPCONFIG/RENEW and pull a 192.168.0.x address from the Belkin.
• Reboot the STBs by unplugging the AC. They should now pull IP addresses from the BELKIN and appear in the Belkin connection list. The PC that has my media is wireless to the Belkin. So I guess my only options are to connect it to the AT router wireless and lose its connection to my PC network, or run some cat5 from that machine to the AT router. I tried this out in the field at a customer's location with their router, and it did not work unless their PC was affiliated with the Actiontec.

a) Belkin LAN port -> Actiontec WAN port; or,
b) Belkin LAN port -> Actiontec LAN port

If (a), then the Actiontec needs a bridge between the ethernet WAN; ethernet LAN; and coax. Otherwise, the LAN (STB) side of the Actiontec will have it's own subnet and you will need to configure routing information between the subnets. This bridge is not required for the STBs to get VOD and guide data.

if (b), which is the simpler approach, then you are using only the existing ethernet LAN switch and MOCA bridge in the Actiontec and the PCs and STB's should be on the same subnet.

Can you connect from MM to the Multi-room DVR if you connect the wired PC to the Actiontec? I can't get the Media Manager software to run on my network dvr. I have instaled MM software on 2 pcs- one wired into the Belkin, the other is wireless on the Belkin. I opened the ports in the windows firewalls on each, and opened ports 5050, 18000 and 18001 on the Belkin router.
