Have no problems with AVG8 on WinXP machines.
But will soon be switching to another antivirus on a W2K machine. AVG8 update/scans don't work. The only solution over at the AVG8 forums is that AVG8 will not work on FAT32 systems and one has to convert the file system to NTFS. I do know that NTFS is better than FAT32 but I do not want an antivirus to force me to switch.
There is no mention of AVG8's incompatibility to FAT32 systems in any of their FAQs. Probably they released it without testing on all systems which they have said AVG8 is compatible with. Not good for a big antivirus company. |
