| Don't do it.
You can't call China for free. The "Jack" has more bugs than a flea infested dog. Voice Quality is sporadic for a lot of users. Area Code choice is still very limited. You will essentially become a "paying" beta tester.
Magic-jack is a great concept but was far from ready for the mainstream. I have personally suffered the voice quality issue, internet hangs (I can't surf the net for some reason unless I unplug the box from the USB port),intermittent voice mail service and when I start my computer, I have to unplug it until my anti-virus program (Kaspersky 7.0 on Vista SP1) has finished scanning my boot records on start up.
Don't pay good hard $$ to be a beta tester for a company that has so many issues their success is becoming less likely by the day. If you do it anyway, DON'T sign up for more than a year - you are at high risk of losing your extra $.
Again - A great idea/deal that isn't ready for you and me. |

| reply to paulmaple Let me be the first to tell you that magicjack is the biggest scam ever. They will take money out of your account before the free 30 day trial is over and even though they say you will get refunded, don't be fooled. They took $46.90 out of our account which put our account in the negative. This was 3 weeks ago and we are still waiting for our refund which they said we should have recieved between June 5th and 12th. An agent told me it's our banks fault that our refund didn't go through. That's to make a very long story short. SO, BEWARE OF MAGICJACK. IT IS A SCAM, I PROMISE!!!!! |
