Great experience with Fairpoint "FiOS" customer service.

Just got off of the phone with Fairpoint c/s to discuss a billing issue. To make a long story short, I signed up for Verizon FiOS just before the sale to Fairpoint with the following promo: first month free, $10/month for 5 months.
Got my first bill and the first month was free, second month was full price.

Called today to talk with Fairpoint. The CSR could not find the promotion or any record of it in my account. While on hold, I resigned myself to the idea that she was going to tell me "tough luck". Instead, she comes back online, tells me that she'll just give me the 2nd month free (which is within $2 of the $10 x 5 promo I signed up for) and said that it is possible that the promo will still kick in next month and if so, good for me. She then politely thanked me for my business and asked a few questions about my satisfaction with the service.

FANTASTIC!

I'm not only now talking up FiOS to my friends & neighbors because of its speed and stability vs Comcast, but the customer service absolutely shines. Wow! Hope they keep up the good work.
