A friend of mine recently bought a house from Minto in the Ottawa area. Upon firming up the deal they sprung a little surprise on him. The surprise was that only Rogers services were available. After an investigation he was able to determine that Minto was misleading him. Once he found out that he could get Bell lines Minto apparently changed their story to Rogers is preferred over Bell. Long story short, my friend does not have to have Rogers home phone or Rogers internet forced upon him. He can keep his Teksavvy internet. So if you have recently bought a home and was told that only company X is available and you want company Y. Dig deep and you may find that you have been misled.

I was corrected it's not that Rogers is preferred. It is that there is no referral program for Bell.  |
